@natashar And the friendship that you and @HawKEye_2020 shared? So powerful. You each did the same thing for the other, at different times: saw the other for who they really were, the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly; loved the complete package of who they were, as well as who they could become; and believed in them. All without approving of bad behavior or anything.

Seriously, what greater form of friendship or love could there be?

@wendyc @zeromile Welcome!! To the fediverse, in at least one of your cases, and to my humble little server instance as well! It’s an honor to have you.

@lakesideliberal T’Challa! Man, your movie is one of my favorites to this day. One of my all-time favorite movie lines: “We must all find a way to care for one another as if we were members of one single tribe.” 💯

@1WarMachine great to see you on here, sir! I feel that I don’t know nearly as much about you as I would like. I’m going to have to do some catching up in the coming weeks, I guess.

I think my favorite scene of yours is with Nebula in the Temple of the Power Stone 😂, when she says, “I wasn’t always like this, you know,” and you respond, “Neither was I. I guess we all just do the best we can with what we have.”

I found that moment very relatable.

@SteveRogers truly an honor, sir! 🤩 Both your character on screen, and your activism, etc. on social media, are quite an inspiration.

Throughout the MCU storyline, you never give up. Even when facing seemingly impossible odds. I have a feeling that we’re all going to need a lot more of that kind of courage in the days to come.

@uyakon @IronMan @SteveRogers As I see it, the most important quality of a superhero is their character. And as I continue to learn more about what everyone in is doing, the more impressed I am.

You guys are heroes/heroines in real life, not just in the movies. May you inspire many more to follow your lead.

@IronMan Mr. Stark, sir, it’s an honor.

I am a huge MCU geek. Started watching when the first Avengers movie was in theaters, back in 2012. And I was hooked.

I’ll admit it: It took me a while to warm up to you. @SteveRogers was my favorite for the longest time lol. But as Iron Man 3 progressed (which I’ve still only seen part of; gotta get on that) followed by Spider-Man: Homecoming, Infinity War, and especially Endgame, I was like: OK, this guy really is a hero.

I'm finding John Legend's new song, Conversations in the Dark, to be just the thing for my PTSD: youtu.be/qUD2GxTeVcI A new friend, who has also experienced some trauma in the past, said that this song was "like a warm hug." 🤗

To survivors of , worldwide: I wish you healing, and a deep sense of wholeness, and the best that life can possibly offer you. May 2020 be your year.

Quote from : "They win by making us think we're alone."

You are not alone. I don't care you who you are, or where you're from, or any of that. If you are genuinely trying to be a decent person, then you have friends in many places, including me.

Mastodon

Mastodon is an ethically-designed, open-source microblogging platform consisting of a network of independent servers that talk to each other (part of the "fediverse"). It can be thought of as an alternative to Twitter, for example. This particular server focuses on two things: First, fighting oppression, exploitation, abuse and victimization, whether of humans, plants, animals, or the planet itself. Second, helping people heal from any of the above that they have experienced or witnessed.
